My colleague — and by now also my best friend — Lisette from Webteam4U, takes beautiful photos. Photography is her true passion, and she has such an eye for detail. We’ve done some photo shoots together for Webteam4U. It always worked really well. But… she lives in the Netherlands, and I live in Spain.
So doing a shoot together isn’t something we can just plan on a whim.
Still, I’ve been thinking: if she visits again — hopefully this autumn — I’d love to ask her to take some photos of me. For my website. For my story.
Until then, I’ll do it myself. Because my website needs to go live soon. So I’ll take pictures the way I’ve described before: atmospheric, silhouettes, moments that feel real — with or without me in them.
And yes, I used to hate being in photos. Ever since I was a child. On holidays, I always tried to disappear the moment a camera appeared.
But now I also see: those old photos are precious.
It’s good to have memories.
Of a time. Of yourself.
So maybe I just need to learn to accept it — a little.
